Application versions
Leicester's DiRAC service uses CentOS 7 linux.
Generally there is a module available for each item in the list. Use the module command to see which versions of an application are available, for example for GSL:
$ module avail gsl
--------------------- /cm/shared/modulefiles ------------------
gsl/gcc/1.15 gsl/intel/1.15
Some applications have been built multiple times to suit the compilers available on the system. For example OpenMPI has been built for the GCC and Intel compilers. A module exists for each one so you can choose the most appropriate.
Install an application
You are free to install applications in your own home directory. If you need any assistance or require an application to be installed centrally, email leicester.support@dirac.ac.uk
